WHATSAPP has launched a new feature for everyone that allows users to easily pin up to three messages within a chat, improving accessibility. Previously limited to pinning a single message, this represents a significant improvement in chatting.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart revealed the feature through their respective WHATSAPP channels. The ability to pin messages was initially introduced for private and group chats in December last year.
WHATSAPP NEW UPDATE: WHAT IS IT?
This functionality extends to all message types, including text, images and surveys, making pinned messages invaluable for quick access to important information such as a friend’s address or location for a planned trip with a group.
To pin a message, users long press it and select the “Pin” option In addition, users can specify a time period (from 24 hours to 30 days) for pinning messages to ensure relevance and organization within chats.
It is important to note that long-term pinned messages, such as addresses, must be pinned again after 30 days, as there is no option to pin them indefinitely. Alternatively, users can “start” a message to access it through the Contact Information menu. The new feature is available for all WhatsApp users.
WHATSAPP New Update: New Beta Version Launched
Additionally, WHATSAPP recently launched a new beta version of its messaging app, which introduced an improved app locking feature. This latest update, which is currently available to select users, offers more authentication options beyond biometric identification Those who are in the WHATSAPP BETA program can try this feature. Users now have the flexibility to use other unique identifiers along with their device passcode.
