It’s time to get into action The Night Agent Season 2!

The hit Netflix thriller has geared up and started shooting for its second instalment. On Monday, the streamer released a new photo from the set, showing star Gabriel Basso holding a cracker and growing out a beard.

Apparently the scene was filmed on a street corner at night. Basso, 29, stands under red neon lights. In episode 201 he has a button and is holding a board.

Netflix has confirmed that the new season will take place in Washington, D.C. Will be filmed away from Washington, D.C., where much of the first season was filmed. This time, Basso’s Peter Sutherland will be in far-flung places like New York and Thailand.

The first season of The Night Agent, based on the novel by Matthew Quirke, aired its first 10 episodes in 2023 and followed FBI Agent Basso as he becomes embroiled in a political conspiracy. While the first season ended its presidential story with a nice bow (with an arrest and the final revelation of the truth about the terrorist attack), the new storyline is already hinting at a lot more drama.

In the final scene of the first season, the character Peter was handed a mission statement that read, “Night Action: Mission Brief”, which meant that he had made his way into the elite group of The Night Agent he was supposed to join. Was eager for.

Showrunner Sean Ryan reveals what this moment means for Netflix’s Thuddam. “I like the symbolism in it,” Ryan said. “This individual, from the outset, endeavored to exceed expectations, to contribute meaningfully, and to garner recognition for his positive attributes. This pursuit was particularly noteworthy given the shadow cast by his father’s alleged misconduct, leaving lingering doubts in people’s minds.

Ryan explained why the drama will evolve even more in season two: “One of the reasons we like Peter so much is that he follows the rules and has such a strong moral code that he lives by. We appreciate the choices they have made. [As The Night Agent] these choices will become tougher, the stakes will become even higher, and the danger she’s in will become even greater.”

The first season of The Night Agent became Netflix’s sixth most watched series of all time with 98.2 million views.

Luciana Buchanan, who plays Rose, has been confirmed to return for season two alongside Basso, guaranteeing even more tension in the future. New cast members have already been announced, including Amanda Warren, Ariane Mandy, Luis Hartham, Berto Colon, Brittany Snow and Teddy Sears. The first season of The Night Agent can be streamed in its entirety on Netflix.
