As voters headed to the polls for the nation’s 16 primaries, both Republicans and Democrats floated unsubstantiated theories that the selloff was intended to help the other party.

This absurd political theory comes just a week after AT&T’s servers also crashed, leading many to connect the two and feel that the United States is increasingly falling victim to cyberattacks.
On Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of users lost access to their social media accounts.

Elon Musk used the opportunity to celebrate the power outage as his rivals recovered from the disaster.
They responded to the Meta outage with a post to X that read, “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are down.”
There is no preliminary evidence of a connection between Tuesday’s accident and the presidential primary, but some believe the connection is no coincidence.
