The “Everything Everywhere All at Once” star took to Instagram on Monday to announce that he would like to honor Jennifer Lawrence with an Oscar the moment “Poor Things” star Emma Stone took to the stage to accept her award on Sunday. She explained the confusion that led to her handing over the Best Actress award. Appeared on “Poor Things”.

“Congratulations, Emma Stone! I know I’ve confused you, but I wanted to share that proud moment of handing you your Oscar with my best friend Jennifer!!” Ms Yeo said their friendship extended to her friend Jamie. She wrote that it reminded her of her bond with Lee Curtis and described how they were “always there for each other.”

Both Michelle Yeoh and Curtis won Oscars for their performances in Everything, Everywhere All at Once, with the former winning Best Actress and the latter Best Supporting Actress.

At the 96th Academy Awards, Yeo and Lawrence were among a group of former Best Actress winners who gathered to present the category. She was joined by Sally Field, Charlize Theron, and Jessica Lange.

After accepting the trophy from Yeo and Lawrence, Stone gave a tearful acceptance speech, praising her fellow Best Actress nominees.
