The new version, called Grok-1.5, will be available to early testers and existing Grok users on the X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, in the coming days, XAI said in a statement.

The startup said that one of the most notable improvements in the new version is its performance on coding and math-related tasks. In pursuit of an alternative to Open AI, supported by Microsoft, and Google, backed by Alphabet, Elon Musk introduced XAI last year. He touted it as the epitome of truth-seeking artificial intelligence.”
In December, the startup launched Grok for X’s Premium+ customers. Earlier in the month, Musk announced that XAI would unveil Grok, following reports that the billionaire had taken legal action against Open AI for allegedly deviating from its fundamental mission in pursuit of profitability.
